Redbank Lodge in Thredbo
About $80 a night from early October. Nicer than the YHA and not much more expensive. Sometimes cheaper. I stayed here and we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
Marouka Lodge in Mt Hotham
About $45 a night from October 1st. These guys host hikers all the time and happily hold food drops. Emily is active on the AAWT facebook page.
